About Hoover Financial
The year was 2009, and Scott Hoover was a young CPA putting in time at a regional public accounting firm, preparing taxes and auditing year-end financials.
The job offered great experience, but the work was all after-the-fact. Scott wanted to be where the action was—working in the trenches alongside business entrepreneurs, making a difference in real time.
So he started Hoover Financial.
The one-man firm grew quickly, and today we are a team of CPAs and controllers spread across multiple states. Even though we’ve grown, we remain anchored to
our original goal: giving entrepreneurs financial clarity through accurate numbers and meaningful reporting.
It must be a good approach, because we’re loved by clients from New York to California. We’ve served companies ranging from a Silicon Valley software startup to a cattle feedlot on the high plains of Kansas, and pretty much everything in between.
Our absolute specialty, though, is manufacturing and construction. We love the practical innovation and hard work we find when we connect with business owners who know what it means to put in a long day on the shop floor or at the job site.
Another reason we connect with these hands-on industries is our agricultural background. Our central office in Stratford, Wisconsin sits in the heart of farming country (see feed mill skyline in the photo above!). Outside of office hours, many of us love working the land and raising crops or animals.
Bottom line? Hoover Financial is not a shiny Chicago firm—and we don’t want to be. With us, what you see is what you get: down-to-earth accountants who are as happy on a tractor seat as on an office chair.
But don’t be fooled. We believe in practical accounting, but we also believe in high standards. We work hard to deliver a quality product.
Maybe you’re wondering if this talk is just a bunch of marketing fluff that doesn’t mean anything. That’s fair. We wonder that when we read websites too.
But you know there’s only one way to really find out:
Give us a call and see for yourself!
